Block my FB Account: There are so many reasons you would want to just disappear from Facebook. The moment you have decided to take a bow from the application, you can do that. Facebook offers two options, the deactivation option which just takes you away for a while, until you are ready to get back and the irreversible permanent delete of the account.  

You get to choose which of this options you would adopt , although Facebook strongly discourages you from deleting your account. In this article we would get to show you both how to deactivate and how to delete your account.

How to Block My Account.

Step 1: Backup all of your data

First of all, it’s time to backup all of the information you ever shared on Facebook, such as posts, videos and photos.

• Click the “down arrow” in the upper right-hand corner.

• Go to ‘Settings’.

In General Account Settings, Click ‘download a copy of all your Facebook data’, download archive.

Step 2: Deactivate your account

• Click the “down arrow” in the upper right-hand corner
• Click account settings, 
• Next,click security on the left menu, 
• Then click deactivate your account.

Facebook would ask the reason you are leaving. All your data will be de-indexed but can be retrieved easily whenever you want.

Step 3: Delete your Facebook account

• Click on the “lock” icon in the upper right-hand corner
• Click the “magnifying glass” icon , then search for “delete”.

• Click on the result near the bottom that says “How do i permanently delete my account”. 
• Scroll down till you see the “Let us know” link. 
• Click the delete my account. 
• You will be required to put in your password
• Submit captcha. 
• Click Ok and that is it.

This would help you take that long needed break.
