Download Facebook Messenger for PC: The desktop version of Messenger is a lot like the web version in that you can search through your messages and share things like GIFs, images, documents, Emoji, stickers, videos, and other files. However, you can't play Facebook games, create reminders, or send money like you can through Messenger.com.

How to Download Facebook Messenger for Windows

See the section at the bottom of this page for some alternative Messenger programs that will work with your computer.

  • To get Facebook Messenger on your desktop, access the Windows Store to download the app.
  • Visit the Messenger download page.
  • Click Get.
  • Click Get in Microsoft Store.
When the Messenger download page shows that the program is finished installing, click Launch.

Facebook Messenger for Other Operating Systems

Like we mentioned above, you can download Messenger for Windows 10 only. If you use a different operating system, your only options are to use Messenger in your web browser or download a third-party, unofficial program.

Messenger for Desktop

Windows, Linux, and Mac users can install Messenger for Desktop. Another option for macOS is Messenger for Mac.

A second Messenger app for Windows is much more like the web version but can be installed on your computer or run as a portable program. It supports themes, can hide "seen" messages, can suppress the typing indicator, supports sending money, and lets you view archived threads and see message requests.

    Facebook Lite

Facebook Lite: Facebook Lite is a lighter version of Facebook redesigned by Facebook. It is a version of Facebook made for better locations with poor data connections and low-end phones. It’s an app for the entire world, suited more specifically for developing countries where data connectivity is hard to come by.

Very similar to the original version of Facebook with a less smooth user interface, built for the original purpose of connecting and interacting with family and friends. For some one who spends so much time on Facebook, this could be a great choice because of it's low data consuming quality.

    How to Install Facebook Lite:

    Installing on Your Android Phone
    • Open Google Play. Tap its icon located on the home screen to open Google Play Store. If the app is not on your home screen, search for it in the app drawer.
    • In the search bar Search for “Facebook Lite” . Tap the search tool (magnifying glass icon) at the top-right corner of Google Play and type in “Facebook Lite.” To start searching, press OK on your keyboard.
    • Access the app’s information page. The official website should be the first app to come out in the list. Tap it.
    • Tap on the Install button. The app will automatically download and install to your phone. Once it has finished downloading, simply tap Open, if you’re still on the Google Play page. If you’ve gone out of Google Play, just look for the Facebook Lite app icon in your list of applications.
    • If you’re asked for any special permission, simply tap the Okay button on the permission prompt to begin the download, which will take around a few seconds, depending on your connection speed.
    • After installation, you can access Facebook Lite on your Android device through the app.
    Method 2

    Installing on iPhone
    • Open your iPhone's   App Store. Tap the App Store icon, it is a light-blue app with a stylized, white "A" on its front.
    • Tap Search. It's the magnifying glass icon that can be found in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
    • Tap the search bar. It's at the top of the screen; you'll see the phrase "App Store" in this bar.
    • Type Facebook Lite into the search bar. This is the official name of the app in the App Store.
    • Tap Search. It's a blue button in the bottom-right corner of your iPhone's keyboard. Doing so will search the App Store for the Facebook app, which should be the top item on the results page.
    • Tap GET. This button is to the right of the Facebook Lite app icon, which resembles a white "f" on a dark-blue background. A pop-up menu will appear.
    • If you've downloaded Facebook Lite before and then deleted it, you'll see a download icon instead of GET.
    • If you see OPEN instead of GET, Facebook Lite is already installed on your iPhone.
    • Enter your Apple ID password or Touch ID. If your iPhone has Touch ID enabled for the App Store, you'll be prompted to scan your fingerprint; otherwise, you'll have to input your Apple ID password. The Facebook Lite app will begin downloading onto your iPhone.
    • This process can take a few minutes if you're using cellular data or a slow Internet connection.
    • You may not be prompted to enter your Apple ID or Touch ID if you've downloaded Facebook Lite before.
    • Wait for the download to complete. Once Facebook Lite is done downloading, the progress circle on the right side of the screen will be replaced with an OPEN button.
    • You can open Facebook Lite by tapping OPEN here, or you can tap the Facebook Lite app icon on your iPhone's Home Screen.
You can try out the new Facebook lite app, it is really similar to the original version of Facebook.

    Facebook PC Version

Facebook PC Version: The desktop version of Messenger is a lot like the web version in that you can search through your messages and share things like GIFs, images, documents, Emoji, stickers, videos, and other files. However, you can't play Facebook games, create reminders, or send money like you can through Messenger.com.

How to Download Facebook Messenger for Windows

There used to be a desktop client for Facebook Messenger that would run on other operating systems, but according to Facebook, Messenger is currently only available for Windows 10 users.

Next time you would want to put up a post, it would be safe you think it through depending on the content of the post.

Facebook Video Downloader App for android: There are several reasons why you may want to download your Facebook videos: You may want to use the video on some other location, example, you created a live video on Facebook and would want to share that content, or you want to save a video you like from a friend's page.Whatever the case may be, in this tutorial, we would be showing you how to download Facebook videos on your mobile device either iOS or Android.

How to Download Videos from Facebook

    Method 1: On iPhone
    • Download the Documents app.
    • Open Facebook from home screen.
    • Go to the video that you want to save.
    • Make sure the video is public.
    • Open the video. Tap the video to begin playing it.
    • Tap Share. This option is directly below the video. A menu will appear.
    • Tap Copy Link. It's in the menu.
    • Open Documents. Press your iPhone's Home button again, then tap the Documents app icon. It resembles a multicolored "D" on a white background.
    • Open the browser.
    • Tap the address bar. This is the text field at the top of the screen.
    • Open the SaveFrom site. Type savefrom.net into the address bar, then tap the blue Go button in your iPhone's keyboard.
    • Paste in the video's address. Tap the text field near the top of the page, tap it again once your iPhone's keyboard appears, and tap Paste in the pop-up menu.
If a pop-up ad appears while you're doing this, just tap the X in the top-left corner of the page.
    • Tap Download. This green button is in the middle of the page, just below the video's preview.
    • Tap Done. It's a light-blue button in the upper-right corner of the screen.
    • Tap the "Downloads" icon.
    • Watch your video. Once it finishes downloading, tap the video's name on the Downloads tab to play it in Documents.
    • You can tap Done in the upper-left side of the screen to return to the Documents page.
    • Move the video onto your iPhone. Ensure you're on the Documents page (not the browser page), tap the Downloads folder, tap ⋯ below your video and tap Share, then do the following:
    • Tap Save to Files
    • Select a folder.
    • Tap Add
    • Open your iPhone's Files app.
    • Find and open the folder you saved the video to.
    • Tap the "Share" icon.
    • Tap Save Video

      Method 2: On Android
      • First, download the ES File Explorer app from Google play store. Minimize the Google play store and Open Facebook
      • Go to the video that you want to save.
      • Make sure the video is public.
      • Open the video. Tap the video to begin playing it.
      • Tap Share. You'll find this option directly below the video. A menu will appear.
      • Tap Copy Link. It's in the menu. Doing so will copy the video's address to your Android's clipboard.
You may have to scroll down to find this option.
      • Open Google Chrome
      • Go to the SaveFrom site. Tap the address bar at the top of the screen, type savefrom.net into the address bar, and then tap the Enter or Go button in your Android's keyboard.
      • Paste in the video's address. Tap the text field near the top of the page, tap it again once your Android's keyboard appears, and tap Paste in the pop-up menu.
      • Tap Download. This green button is in the middle of the page, just below the video's preview. The video will automatically download onto your Android's hard drive or SD card.
      • Open ES File Explorer. Exit Chrome, then tap the ES File Manager app icon in the App Drawer.
      • If this is your first time installing ES File Explorer, first swipe or tap through the introduction screens before you continue:
      • Select a storage option. Tap either the Internal option or the SD Card option depending on where downloaded files on your Android typically go.
      • Tap Downloads. This folder should be near the middle of the page, though you may need to scroll down to see it.

That's pretty much it to download a video from Facebook.
