How do you Cancel an Account: If you are tired of all the hassle of updating pictures, posts and the rest and feel you want to permanently delete your account and have no link with Facebook, the good news is that Facebook allows you do that.You would be able to erase all your information on Facebook.

But if you wrote a comment on a friend's status update or photo, it will remain there even after you delete your own profile. Also bear in mind that some of your posts and pictures may hang around for as long as 90 days after deletion,  just on Facebook servers though, not live on the site. How to Cancel Facebook Account:

• The first step is go to Facebook's deletion page. In a web browser, navigate to https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account by typing it into the address bar and pressing ↵ Enter.
• If you are not automatically logged in, enter the email address or phone number and password for your account, then click Log In.
• Click Delete My Account. It can be found below the warning message in the middle of the page. A pop up window appears.
• Enter your password again.  Do so in the "Password" field at the top of the window.
• Type in the captcha code. This code is a mix of letters and numbers in the middle of the window; you'll type your answer into the field below the code.
• If you can't read the code, you can click either the Try another text or the an audio captcha link below the code to generate a new one.
• Click OK. This will submit your code. If you got the steps correctly, another pop-up window will appear.
• In a situation, whereby you incorrectly entered your password or captcha code, you'll be asked to try again.
• Click OK to delete your account. It's at the bottom of the pop-up window. Complete account deletion can take up to 14 days, but your account will be gone from Facebook after that time frame.
